One of the programs I transferred for the Ringling Museum is a BBC recording of the opening night performance of the Bertram Mills Circus, which took place in London on December 20, 1946. (Because of World War II, this would have been the first circus held in London since 1938.) The audio was taken from a transcription disk apparently made on location during the performance. The audio was recorded in short, unrelated segments which were undoubtedly intended to be assembled later in the studio. I assembled them in what I thought was a logical order. Attached is an mp3 file with all of the segments strung together. (It’s quite short. If you listen carefully, you can hear the band playing “Col. Bogey” uptempo) Enjoy. Provided by Eric Beheim.
