2025 Summer Meet Registration is Now Open

Registration is now OPEN for the Windjammers
Summer Convention in Gainesville, GA!
Tuesday, July 15 – Sunday, July 20, 2025

Link to Register Online is below — If you wish to write a check and mail in, please click the button for a printed form. Online Payment is secure using the online registration link below. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card (Look for the “Pay by Credit Card” button when submitting your payment).

Registration fee will be $120 for musicians; $80 for non-playing spouses/guests attending with you
Cost for us to print one packet music will be $25, though you will receive PDFs ahead of time at no charge to print your own!

For the first 50 registrants, you can sign up for the optional Lake Lanier Dinner Boat Cruise on Wednesday evening! Includes boat cruise, dinner, transportation to the marina for $75 per person.

Deadline to register is June 15

Traveling to Gainesville is easy!
Gainesville is one hour north of Atlanta on I-85, so no need to deal with Atlanta traffic!
Flying into Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport has many nonstop destinations, and Gainesville has direct limo transportation reserved in advance (contact Groome Transporation at 470-252-7887 or visit their website)

Your summer meet team has tried to find hotels that fit every budget … check out all of the options below, plus a map of our venue locations, showing the two hotels that are withing walking distance of both our rehearsal venue and Saturday night big performance venue!

Booking your hotels now is highly recommended, due to the popularity of Lake Lanier during the peak summer travel time!

Traveling by RV? The closest to downtown Gainesville is River Forks Campground! Only 4 miles away, and they offer glamping, too!

Tentative Schedule for Tuesday, July 15 – Sunday, July 20

Tuesday evening, pick up your convention materials (and music pdfs if you’ve asked us to print your music). The Gainesville Convention Bureau is sponsoring munchies for us!

Wednesday morning at 8:30 am the musical fun begins at Brenau Downtown Center! Downbeat at 9 am! Recording sessions throughout the day.

Wednesday evening — Lake Lanier boat dinner cruise for the first 50 people that sign up once registration is opened! Stay tuned!

Thursday morning, afternoon — more notes and recording sessions!

Thursday evening — small group concert at nearby retirement community.

Friday morning — more notes, recording sessions, and a dress rehearsal for Saturday’s big performance!

Friday evening — Our banquet at Brenau Downtown Center with music by Dianasue’s “Southern Journey Big Band” that’s popular in Gainesville!

Saturday morning — Educational outreach for local band directors, students and local community band members.

Saturday evening — Our big performance at Smithgall Arts Center Pavilion! The city is already promoting afternoon circus-themed activities for the whole family starting at 4 pm, and our concert begins at 7 pm. Food trucks and the activities should keep our enthusiastic audience on location!

Sunday morning — Over and out! Safe travels home!

Helen GA is an alpine village theme and popular during the summer. Are any alphorn players coming to convention? We can arrange an alphorn performance if there are enough participants!

Roswell GA is home to numerous antebellum homes that Sherman spared during the Civil War, many available for tours, also great antique shops!
